Meet Our Newest Apprentice!

We wanted to take the opportunity to to introduce our newest apprentice recruit, John! We thought it would be great to sit down him and get his views so far on what his experience has been like in his first few weeks of joining Green Energy Switch.

What is it like being an apprentice?

I have loved my time with Green Energy Switch so far! I joined Green Energy Switch in January and already feel very settled and at home in my role!

Being an apprentice has been very enjoyable as I feel that I am learning very important business skills whilst also getting the opportunity to put them into practice!

What made you apply to be an apprentice?

I am really keen to start my career within the business sector so I thought doing an apprenticeship would be the perfect way to start on my career path, whilst gaining vital experience too.

What would you say to someone who is thinking about becoming an apprentice?

I would say go for it! The Green Energy Switch team have been so welcoming and I have already learnt so much in the space of one month!

What excites you the most about being an apprentice?

Being an apprentice for only a month has already shown me how exciting and rewarding it can be. I am really excited to keep this going and learning more skills!

Why join Green Energy Switch as an apprentice?

I really have enjoyed my first month with Green Energy Switch. I would definitely recommend it as a great place to work! It also has been really good for me to know that Lewis Jones joined Green Energy Switch as an apprentice in 2018 and is now a Senior Support Officer. This shows that there has been great opportunities for progression for apprentice within the company.

I also love the fact that Green Energy Switch are a profit for purpose company and it has been great to get to understand the types of projects Green Energy Switch help to fund within PECT.
