Back in August, Ofgem announced that energy bills would fall slightly in October to £1,923 a year for the typical household, meaning a drop of £151 in the autumn.

But as last winter’s £400 support from the government has ended – plus higher fixed costs – many people will see little difference.

Here at Green Energy Switch, we deliver the LEAP scheme in partnership with Peterborough City Council, South Cambridgeshire Council, and Rutland County Council to bring local struggling residents free energy support.

What is LEAP?

LEAP is a free service that makes a real impact on people’s lives and helps tackle fuel poverty!

Those who are struggling most are often overlooked, but LEAP is here to help keep people warm and reduce their energy bills without costing them any money.

What can LEAP do for you?

LEAP helps with advice on how to reduce your energy bills and helps you understand all aspects of your energy with a FREE home energy visit from a knowledgeable Home Energy Advisor.

The Energy Advisor will ensure they conduct a thorough energy audit with you. This will include information on which discounts/funds you may be eligible for. The Advisor will also help install some free energy saving goodies, including LED lightbulbs.

The LEAP service covers many aspects such as:

– Tariff advice

– Fuel debt advice

– Smart meter advice

– Tips and advice how to reduce energy

– Free small energy efficiency measures – LED bulbs, radiator panel, draught proofing etc

– Income Maximisation

– Onward referrals to other organisations when required.

– Boiler repair/replacement – (Owner occupiers only – where/when available)

– White goods (where/when available)

So why not check and see if you are eligible here.
