Key Responsibilities:
Staff Management:
- Lead, plan, and coordinate the team’s activities to ensure alignment with overall objectives.
- Motivate and support staff to uphold the highest standards of quality, productivity, and teamwork.
- Conduct performance appraisals and regular 1:1 meetings with team members, including self-employed staff, to provide feedback, set goals, and encourage continuous development.
- Oversee and facilitate staff training programs to foster skills development and career growth, promoting a culture of excellence.
- Regularly engage in team catch-ups to ensure alignment with company goals and operational efficiency.
Project Management:
- Ensure smooth execution of projects, flagging potential resource issues to the Director in a timely manner.
- Continuously review and update project processes, systems, and procedures to optimise team efficiency and effectiveness.
- Maintain up-to-date operational requirements, ensuring work is completed accurately and on time, including data handling and storage protocols.
- Manage customer and partner relationships, ensuring all accounts are proactively handled with a focus on satisfaction and long-term success.
- Monitor project progress and performance by producing detailed weekly and monthly reports for the Director, highlighting any challenges or successes.
- Meet business and individual performance targets as outlined in the business plan and during appraisals.
Project Operations:
- Oversee the project’s operations to maximise both financial returns and service delivery, ensuring customers’ needs are met and exceeded.
- Cultivate and manage relationships with suppliers and external partners to ensure effective project execution and that service level agreements (SLAs) are consistently met.
- Actively participate in regular review meetings with relevant partners to discuss project performance and address any concerns.
- Provide the Director with monthly performance reports to review the success of ongoing projects and areas for improvement.
- Ensure that customer service goals are consistently achieved, fostering a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Carry out any other tasks as directed by the Director, ensuring that both team and customer needs are effectively met.
Required Criteria:
Proven track record of meeting challenging targets:
Ability to meet or exceed targets, consistently delivering results within set timeframes and budget parameters.
Minimum 2 years of line management experience:
Experience in leading, motivating, and developing a team, ensuring high levels of performance and engagement. Proven ability to manage and improve team dynamics.
At least 2 years of customer service management experience:
Strong background in managing customer service operations, ensuring the delivery of excellent service that meets or surpasses customer expectations. Focus on continuous improvement of the customer experience.
Effective verbal and written communication skills:
Confident and clear communicator, with the ability to engage and influence staff, customers, and stakeholders effectively at all levels. Strong written communication skills to produce reports, documentation, and correspondence.
Proven experience in building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships:
Demonstrated success in establishing and nurturing relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective collaboration and outcomes.
Experience in training and onboarding New Staff:
Experience in onboarding, training, and mentoring new staff, helping them to quickly integrate and perform to the required standards while promoting a culture of continuous learning.
Passion for environmental sustainability and development:
A strong understanding and enthusiasm for environmental and sustainable development practices, with a commitment to integrating sustainability into operations and decision-making.
Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Office:
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), with the ability to adapt to new software and systems as required to enhance operational efficiency.
Experience in Budget Management and Resource Allocation
Experience with managing budgets and optimising resource allocation to enhance operational efficiency and support organisational goals.
Desired Criteria:
Level 5 or Equivalent Qualification in Line Management:
A Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management (or equivalent).

Employer: Green Energy Switch
Based: This position will be based at Green Energy Switch’s offices: Ham Lane House, Ham Lane, Peterborough, PE2 5UU with a hybrid working model in place.
Salary (per annum): £35,000 per annum
